―This is surely set in the not-so-distant future
ずっと近くで歌っている(or) Always singing right nearby (or),
Always in a far, far away place

A countless amount of yesterdays (software features) pass on by [1]
I toy with (ask a question about) the synced (crimson) pop music[2]

“Hey, you’re still alive, right..!?”[5]
To tell the truth,
I've known for a long time (ten) now―――[6]
The love that connects the gap between “Farewell” and “Nice to meet you”!
And the future, too!
Both happiness and unhappiness,
I’ll embrace all of it, I know (my mind), we chased it together!
It’s fine even if it's fake (a lie), it’s fine even if it rains
If my dream just remains a “dream”, then
Whether cynical or radical, surely, surely―
I believed in magic
A world that’s forever the same
And a world that’s changed
I was, I was, I wonder which one?”
Many days (cracks) piled up on each other over and over
Almost there” felt far away
僕は僕は Am I, Am I
A radio that toys with (asks a question about) synced (crimson) pop music?
Is this a dream-within-a-dream scenario?
The love that connects the gap between “Farewell” and “Nice to meet you”!
And the future, too!
Both garbage and the withering planet,[7]
I’ll embrace all of it, I know (my mind), we chased it together!
Even an ego is fine, even noise is fine
If you haven't stopped being “you” yet, then
Whether logical or mythical, surely, surely―
I’ve believed in magic
Going beyond loneliness
An eve where we’re back-to-back
The inverted shooting stars sing out a noise
“Please don’t go…!”
I reach out my hand
It ticks down to 0
I wake up from my dream, but…
The continuation of a world where you are beside me, and a world where you’re not
Both beauty and despair, I’ll embrace all of it, these feelings, once again…!
Let’s sing together about “Farewell” and “Nice to meet you”, and the future, too!

If I can still love my dream as just a “dream”, then
It’s always been close by, from the beginning, I’ve always, always,
Believed in magic.
I’ve believed in magic
I’ve believed in magic
I’ve believed in magic
I’ve believed in magic

Translation Notes

1 This song uses furigana for a lot of double meanings. Anything within parenthesis is a word that has the same pronunciation as the word before.

2 Instead of “synced” pop music, it could also theoretically be “sunk” or “thinking/thoughtful”, depending on how you read shinku.

3 Potentially a reference to another song by sasakure.uk, Hello Planet

4 I'm not sure what "Sepika" is meant to mean, and my first thought was that it was just a made up word, as Sasakure.uk has a habit of including. However, after some contemplation, it could be a reference to SPiCa by Toku-P, a well known Hatsune Miku song with similar themes to this one.

5 Miku could also potentially be referring to herself here, as in “Hey, I'm alive, aren’t I…!?”

6 Future Eve was written for Magical Mirai’s 10th anniversary, which this is most likely referencing.

7 “Withering planet” may be a reference to “Sand planet” by Hachi.

8 Likely a reference to two other Sasakure songs, “Tondemo Wonderz” (Outrageous Wonderz) and “Shuumatsu ga Yattekuru!” (The end of the world is coming!)
