Who are you?

Hi! :D Call me Ren. I'm a 19 year old man/NEET who really, really likes 2000s anime. I grew up watching pirated anime on Youtube and watching visual novel playthroughs that I really shouldn't have been watching. I've never coded anything in my life, but I really wanted to make a website. Turns out, I hate social media, so this is my own little haven. This site also serves to share things with other weebs out there! I'm still new to all of this, so forgive any errors!

I had to describe my interests in one word, well, most of it boils down to one word... moe.

What the hell is moe, anyway?

Well... That's a good question. If I had to explain it with an English term, I'd choose "Cuteness Aggression". It's when something's so darn cute, you just can't stand it - and it just so happens that this term mainly applies to anime girls. This word is mainly without definition, though. So if you think that lamp in the corner of your room is moe, then it's moe! XD

When it comes to the aesthetics of this site, though, "moe" means moe from the late 90s to very early 2010s. It's mainly a symbol of a subculture that has long passed - when being an anime fan was something nobody had heard of, and otakus all wore plaid shirts and tight jeans and white headbands. It's a subculture I'm really nostalgic for, and I'm trying to play a small part in reviving it!
